Raisinbran releases his latest single, “Grow.” A melodious track, “Grow” paints a positive picture about the everyday struggles of life and the significance of divine intervention. Raisinbran spits knowledge beyond his years in each verse, and delivers a flow worthy of high praise.
For as long as he can remember, Raisinbran has been fascinated with music and creativity. Admittedly, he’s a dreamer who tends to keeps his head just above the clouds. Although he’s had his fair share of hard times while dealing with serious issues like drug abuse, depression and anger, his inventive nature has allowed him to relate to the world around him with great sincerity.
“I explored a lot of different psychedelics, various pills, and anything else I could get, always trying to have an adventure far away from what we call reality. When I was younger, this is how I lived life. I was angry, lost, confused and very high. Through all of this, music was the one thing that I seemed to become obsessed with,” he shares.
During a 10 day suspension from school, he completed his first album, “Kicked Out Of School.”
“All of my music back then just didn’t sound that great, but I was learning quickly. Through all of this, I claimed to be a Christian. I wasn’t living for God in any way, but I knew that God was waiting for me to make a change. My parents listened to my album and encouraged me to make music that glorified God instead of myself,” explains Raisinbran.
Utilizing his parents’ advice, Raisinbran decided to change his perspective. He realized that his artist name could be a reflection of his lighthearted personality, as well as a reminder to make music that is nutritious for people. Since then, he hasn’t stopped creating new music; he’s even learned how to construct his own beats.
Raisinbran firmly believes that through his struggles with addiction and other matters in life, God was essentially putting him on a necessary path toward growth.
“Everyone is like a tree. We may lose our leaves sometimes, and we might even lose a couple of our branches, but in the end, if the light is shining on us, we will keep growing … God can use our passions to make us into a very strong tree,” exclaims Raisinbran.
His goal is to bring his message to the music industry, encouraging people to pursue their passions and persevere. A visionary artist, Raisinbran is definitely someone you’ll want to keep on your radar. He is set to release a brand new track and accompanying music video with another artist sometime soon, so stay tuned!
