TATE SEDAR releases his latest single, “Heaven.” Featuring pulsating synths, bass-heavy electro beats and a bouncy pop hook, the mesmerizing track is the ultimate end-of-the-year dance anthem.

Originally from San Francisco, California, TATE SEDAR grew up in the UK, where he began honing his production skills as a teen. Three years after his college graduation though, TATE SEDAR hit a low point in his musical efforts when he realized that his sound wasn’t achieving its sought-after commercial standard.

During the pandemic, however, things took an unexpected positive turn. With little to no drive left, TATE SEDAR found inspiration in the music he’d loved since he was ten years old—Motown, rock and pop. While blending elements of electro and pop music together to form his “cloud 9” passion project, “Heaven,” TATE SEDAR found that he was able to break free from his depression—his drive to become a master at production had finally been reignited.  

Teaming up with vocalist Tyler Shamy helped TATE SEDAR find the lyrical center for “Heaven.” He had found Shamy’s music online, and after learning that they both lived only two miles apart, he was able to finalize a vocal. ““Heaven” got me out of the water and I realized that with a deeper practice and the sounds I loved, I actually had something [to share],” says TATE SEDAR.

TATE SEDAR was on the EDC Virtual Rave-a-Thon in 2020. He has mixed alongside renowned artists, Don Diablo, Cash Cash, Wolfgang Gartner, DallasK and Henry Fong at the following venues: Academy LA, Avalon Hollywood and Temple SF. His collaboration track with Marty Barrick, “Code,” has been streamed 44,000 times, and his official remix of Empire’s Terrell Carter’s “Hero” has earned 11,000 streams.
