Paco$o joins Al Onehunnid for the release of their latest single, “Give in Tonight.” The expressive track features captivating lyrics and radiates a soulful vibe that brims with emotion.
“When I heard the instrumental come on, the words for the hook just came to me—it had its own vibe that spoke to me. The body of the music really came from poetry I had written years ago; I just needed to find a way to orchestrate the sound I was hearing. Eventually, everything fell into place; even while we were recording, you could feel the makings of a special track,” shares Paco$o.
East Texas rapper and spoken word artist, Paco$o, is a perfectionist with a mystifying personality. Fusing his love of poetry into his art, Paco$o’s inventive wordplay paints vivid stories throughout his music. Raised by a single mother who was an active member of the church, Paco$o found inspiration within the ministry. In fact, church was a catalyst for his creative expression—it was where he first began exploring his passion for writing and reciting poetry.
As the youngest of three children, Paco$o was quick to follow in the footsteps of his older brother. Although there was a seven-year age gap between them, Paco$o would attentively sit in the presence of his brother and friends, listening to them flow. By doing so, he became determined to learn how to rap, too. In his youth, he was influenced by artists like Jay-Z, Mystikal, and The Notorious B.I.G. As an adult, he became more attuned to the sounds of neo soul, gravitating toward artists like Musiq Soulchild, Common, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole.
Paco$o is currently signed with OneHunnid Entertainment, where he has free rein to evolve his craft as an artist and be heard by his followers. His debut album, “Heaven Can Wait,” is scheduled to drop the first week in November of 2021. In addition to his upcoming album, Paco$o has an extensive catalog of music and poetry he hopes to release, so stay tuned!
