Maddy O’Neal joins Marvel Years and Lummingbird for the release of their latest single, “Don’t Stop.” Featuring expansive instrumentals, stirring vocals and hard-hitting bass, the energetic track emits a funkadelic electro-soul vibe.
“After our first collaboration, “Viral Love,” in 2018, Maddy and I are excited to present our new collab, “Don’t Stop.” Maddy sent me this track in the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, and after the first listen I knew we had something special in the works. We’ve both been friends for years and gotten to learn and admire each other’s creative process, so getting to work on this track together was a ton of fun,” says Marvel Years.
O’Neal shares Marvel Year’s enthusiasm for their second collaboration, stating:
“The track feels very fitting because we’ve been on this journey together since the very beginning of our careers. Lydia, the vocalist, was the final piece of the song we were missing, adding her Nina Simone-style to the track. It’s a really rad blend of both Cory and I’s signature sounds bouncing off each other the entire song.”
Originally from Denver Colorado, O’Neal has captured the hearts of fans around the globe with her expert production and mixing skills. The gifted artist’s diverse sound is a culmination of her family’s roots in rock ‘n’ roll and her emergent admiration for old-school hip-hop. She has effortlessly managed to carve out her own unique niche in the eclectic EDM scene.
O’Neal has played at numerous venues and festivals, including: Electric Forest, Camp Bisco, Summer Camp, Summer Meltdown, Red Rocks and more. She has an extensive touring resume with accomplished artists, such as: Pretty Lights, Big Gigantic, The Floozies, Cherub, SunSquabi, Manic Focus, Russ Liquid and more.
Fusing glitch, retro-funk, classic rock, soul, jazz and hip-hop, producer and guitarist Cory Wythe— best known as Marvel Years—has refined a sound that masterfully blends electronic beats with guitar shredding, creating a righteous hybrid of EDM.
For the first time since 2013, O’Neal and Marvel Years have been on tour together, playing shows in cities all across the U.S., including: Salt Lake City, Frisco, Denver, Nevada City and Reno—with a tour closer in San Francisco.
