Los Angeles, CA — Philadelphian singer-songwriter, Jonah Fusco, best known as Lysca, releases enchanting electronic single, “It Takes Time (Heal)”streaming now on all major platforms. Stream "It Takes Time (Heal)" today on Spotify, here!

Lysca releases his latest single, “It Takes Time (Heal).” The expressive track features heartfelt lyrics and an ethereal blend of piano and synth melodies. “It Takes Time (Heal)” is an honest reflection of what it means to be human.

“I wrote this track after being stuck in a rut with my music. I was depressed and just had no inspiration at all. I was listening to The 1975's song, “I Think There's Something You Should Know,” and something just clicked. I really liked the piano from that song; it was soft, yet very present. I want to make a song like that, is what I told myself,” shares Lysca.

“I ended up writing this song that only had piano as its main instrument; it did evolve, but I wanted to keep that intimate feeling. The vocals are very special to me, as this song was the first time I ever sang on a song. I felt really good about myself after writing the lyrics, like I finally got something off of my chest. I do think it takes time to heal from mental shit. I think everyone just needs some time to sort themselves out,” he explains.

For as long as he can remember, Lysca has been studying the art of music in all its many forms. Whether he was listening to it, playing it, practicing it, or picking it apart, music has always been a tremendous part of his life. From a young age, he was exposed to a broad and varied range of sounds. Thanks to his parents, Fusco had a vast collection of country, soul, indie-alt and classic rock music at his disposal. His brother was also a source of musical inspiration, due to his short tenure as a bassist for local rap artist record release parties.

Forging his own musical path, Lysca studied classical music while learning the viola in his school’s orchestra, and he explored Broadway show tunes while working on sound design for different high school musicals; he also delved into advanced music theory and had a short stint in his school’s choir. His appreciation for all musical genres beats through the heart of his inspirations, for his true love—electronic music.

Looking ahead, Lysca has an exciting second album in the works, titled “In Essence.”

“It’s a 10-track long album, that in short, is about my artistic revelation and just me being an artist. I’m really happy with how it sounds; the songs on there are some of my favorites that I’ve written,” says Lysca.
