Lola Lennox Releases "Want More" Single and Music Video

Los Angeles, CA — Lola Lennox debuts latest bedroom pop single, “Want More” — streaming now on all major platforms alongside official music video. Stream “Want More" on Spotify, here.

Singer songwriter Lola Lennox has released her newest single, "Want More." The track is the latest to be released from her forthcoming debut EP, which is set to come out in October. The song was written by Lola Lennox, Edd Holloway, Richard Walters, and Braeden Wright, and it was produced by Braeden Wright, Edd Holloway, and Annie Lennox. The track follows Lola's critically acclaimed singles "Love Like That," "Wherever You Go," "Back At Wrong" (which featured on Radio 2's A playlist), and "La La Love Me" (which entered the Top 10 of the UK Radio Airplay Charts and was a most played record on Radio 2).

Laced with bright pop colours and a gritty, driving beat to compliment Lola’s signature soulful vocals, “Want More” is a sensational, summer anthem-in-the-making. Lyrically, the song touches on an age-old human condition of focusing more on what you want than what you already have, and the frustrating discovery that the grass rarely turns out to be greener on the other side.

Lola Lennox shares, "Want More’ is a commentary on a world where consumption is at an all-time high; we are told that the more we acquire the better we will feel about ourselves, and yet we seem to be more dissatisfied than ever. We’re motivated by the belief that our internal voids can be filled by love, success, beauty and so on, and we are inundated with ‘highlight reels’ of other people's lives on social media. External gratification cannot solve all of our problems-- we only drift further away from substantial happiness and self-worth as we strive for more things. ‘Want More’ is that frenzied state of perpetual escapism, a craving to fill a void with fleeting joy in order to feel enough."

The accompanying music video for Lola Lennox's "Want More" highlights the frustration in always craving more. The video was shot in Los Angeles and directed by Grace Pickering. It invites you into Lola's hyperreality, using color, stop-motion, and symbolic objects to show the viewer the singer's state of mind.
