Rising LA-based pop artist Kaya Stewart wraps up 2020 with an all star EP release Miss Kaya now streaming everywhere. She links up with producer Jamie Lidell in Nashville Tennessee to produce this record. The track that stands out the most must be ‘California’ — you can feel the expressive vocal delivery coupled and blended with punchy poppy synths and an unmatched upbeat instrumental. Another hit would be ‘I Hate Falling In Love’ which is the EPs second single and gives fans a taste of her angsty yet reflective nature as a creative artist.

Kaya explains…

“Making this EP was a breakthrough moment for me. It’s a perfect image of where my life was at that point. I’m so excited that this is how I get to introduce myself to the world again.” 

Kaya Stewart has a life full of musical exposure back to her being born in London and raised in LA. She has been writing songs since the age of six and made her impression on the LA live music scene in her early teens. Most impressively, Kaya became the youngest female artist to perform on the infamous Warped Tour.

Kaya speaks to the single ‘Why I Wake Up’ by sharing…

“'Why I Wake Up' is about growing out of that high school life and bubble,” Kaya explains, “I decided that I didn’t want to do what everyone around me was going to do with their lives. I wasn’t connected to that anymore. It all started to feel so mundane. I wanted to get out of that as soon as I realized that wasn’t what I wanted for my life."

Kaya is redefining the pop genre day in and day out which is proving more impressive every moment due to the incredible environment artists and creatives are trying to thrive through. Kaya is aware that her songwriting and entertaining ability will set herself apart and allow her bold and undeniable vision to come to fruition.
