Speaking on the track, Half Deezy says, ““No Way” is a motivational song! I took everything I have done over the years and put it into this track. When everyone told me [no way], I did it anyways!”

“The amazing part about this song is how it was put together. After almost twenty years of not speaking, I connected with a long-time friend who became a producer. The last time we spoke or hung out, was maybe in the sixth or seventh grade. At the time, we didn’t do any music. We shared a love for hip-hop, but we were break-dancers—not lyricists or beat makers,” he shares. 

After the initial excitement of reconnecting, the friends got to work right away. 

“He cooked up this little banger and sent it to me! I added my lyrical skills to it and set it on fire—thus birthing “No Way.”

Known for his melodic raps, catchy hooks and distinctive voice, Half Deezy fell in love with the art of rhyming at a young age. Alongside his friends, he dreamed of someday turning his passion into a career. His dreams were put on hold as he went on to join the U.S. Army; he courageously served the country for ten years.

After his departure from the U.S. Army, he decided to breathe new life into his childhood vision. Although he had no formal training in music, his creative discovery blossomed as he quickly learned the ropes on his own. 

Armed with the hunger and drive necessary to succeed, Half Deezy spent his time writing songs, producing music and promoting his brand. Due to his sincere approach to music as a form of artistic expression, his efforts garnered much acclaim. He has been featured on songs with Platinum award-winning artists like Bizzy Bone and Lazy Bone, of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. He has also collaborated with Baby Eazy-E, Dogg Pound Gangstaz, Stat Quo, Project Pat, Spice 1 and many more. 

Some of his most notable works include: “My World,” “Hate Me,” “Scheme,” and “They Hate U.S.”—all of which are available on streaming platforms. Half Deezy’s loyal fan base can look forward to some amazing new music. The talented artist has a new single dropping on September 24, titled “Bright Lights.”
