Tigers’ continues to amplify her unusual voice, hypnotic production style, and love for deep bass and psychology. Pronounced vocals coupled with eerie and hypnotic production establishes ‘Tigers’ as a force of a record. The remixes hold up as well which is incredibly challenging for such an incredible single track! Animai felt maintaining her sound and voice through her remixes was crucial so she can remain close to her roots as an artist.

Animai shares…

"Tigers is about our internal fight, about parts of the mind that hold us back. There’s a growing awareness of how learned behaviors – comparison, jealousy, control and ego - often don’t serve us as adults. This track is about amplifying that voice deep within, the one that tells us not to give up on who we are in order to be loved"

After establishing herself in London’s underground bass music scene throughout the years, Animai’s own electronic style is starting to shine through. The self-produced singer-songwriter has been involved in dance music culture as a session singer/top line writer since 2013, when she released her debut "Taking Over’ with Bristol producer Vaun.

She went on to work with some top names on the scene including grime legend, Flowdan's album ‘Disaster Piece’, world renowned deep bass duo Truth and dubstep pioneer Youngsta. Several performances at Outlook Festival in Croatia as well as live PA's across the London's club scene has allowed her to perfect her on-stage persona.

Growing up playing the violin and studying jazz the producer always incorporates live instrumentation into her electronic sounds. Her powerful haunting vocals express the emotions of every day life, her personal journey through mental health and the pressures of city living. Drawing influence from Massive Attack, Burial, Bjork and James Blake, she perfectly combines meaningful lyrics with interesting harmonies and hypnotic beats. Her 2020 release Wide Awake exemplified this and received rave reviews from Clash magazine's Robin Murray "She adds lucid jazz tones to her crystalline electronics."
